When Scarlett Pomers began playing Kyra Hart on The WB's REBA at age 12, we loved her red tressess. Now at 15 with a beauty vibe all her own, Sophisticate's is stopping the presses to make sure we have all the details firsthand.

SHG: Tell us what your hair is like.
Scarlett: It's straight and getting thicker.
SHG: How would you describe your haircut?
Scarlett: I just got a new cut. It's layered in the front and long in the back. It sounds like a mullet, but thank goodness it's not.
SHG: Have you always had long hair?
Scarlett: It's always been long. Sometimes I just want to chop it off, but I know I'll regret it.
SHG: Do you have any haircolor?
Scarlett: I don't have any haircolor, but until I was 4, my hair was blonde. Maybe some random hair-fairy snuck in my room one night and dyed it red. Her assistant gets stuck with touching up the roots every six weeks.
SHG: Are redheads really fiery?
Scarlett: Isn't it obvious?

SHG: What's your favorite style?
Scarlett: I love to roll it in tons of little twists.
SHG: Up or down?
Scarlett: I like it down and since I have a rock band, I gotta let it fly when I'm singing!
SHG: What are your favorite hair products?
Scarlett: Big Sexy Hair hairspray. The name alone makes it worth buying! My secret weapon is No More Tangles. Most people don't know what a great setting lotion it is. The curls stay in until I wash them out!
SHG: Describe a good hair day and a bad hair day.
Scarlett: A good day is any day when it looks full, not flat. A bad hair day - well, I try to disguise those in a ponytail.
SHG: What's your must-have product?

SHG: What's your favorite feature to work?
Scarlett: Eyes! I love black eyeliner and smoky shadows.
SHG: What's the best makeup trick?
Scarlett: I take a ton of belly-dancing classes and the makeup we use for performances is really exotic. I started using individual lashes on just the corners of my eyes and now I use them when I'm going out too!
SHG: What are your favorite eyeshadow and lip colors?
Scarlett: Horizon and Tatou eyeshadow by Chanel. I also love Cinderella lipgloss by Valerie of Beverly Hills.
SHG: What's your can't-live-without?
Scarlett: Cinderella Fairy Dust, also by Valerie's. It's a pink shimmery body dust. It makes me feel like a girly-girl even when I'm surfing or in my Kendo (Japanese sword-fighting) class.

SHG: Describe your fashion style.
Scarlett: Definitely rocker!
SHG: Where do you like to shop?
Scarlett: I shop at several little boutiques in Los Angeles.
SHG: Who do you shop with?
Scarlett: I usually shop with family, 'cause then my mom buys lunch!
SHG: What have you bought recently that you can't wait to wear?
Scarlett: I bought a beautiful black and gray satin corset to wear over a black ruffled blouse. I'm wearing it to present a music award tonight.

SHG: Tell us about working on Reba.
Scarlett: The best part is the people I work with. Not just the cast, but I have so much fun with our crew also. My least favorite part is the traffic going to and from the studio. I'm taking Driver's Ed right now, but I don't think I'll ever want to drive during rush hour!
SHG: How do you think you are you like/not like Kyra?
Scarlett: I think the main differences between Kyra and I is that her family is very crazy and chaotic, while mine is pretty grounded and very nice. Other than that, we're actually pretty similar. We're both incredibly sarcastic, try hard in school and love to read and learn.
SHG: What's one question fans always ask?
Scarlett: A lot of people my age come up to me and ask if I'm on Reba. It's nice that so many people watch our show. Everyone asks me what it's like to work with Reba. She's amazing! We have so much fun.

Scarlett: Sing with my band!

Scarlett: Yep, I'm working on a lot of music with my band. Have you seen them? They're hot!
SHG: How would your friends/family describe you?
Scarlett: Probably as being crazy! I'm always the one making everyone laugh. I'm also the one who includes everybody.
SHG: How would you describe yourself?
Scarlett: Well, I have a lot of different sides to my personality. On the one hand, I can be sort of quiet and thoughtful. But then other times I'm crazy and loud! I guess if I had to describe myself in one word, though, it would be unique. I'm into all sorts of weird things! |
